The challenge
Ragdale Hall, located in the rolling Leicestershire countryside, combines state-of-the-art facilities with the charm of traditional Victorian architecture to create one of the most luxurious and relaxing health spas in the country. To add to this experience, the management team were looking to provide its guests with WiFi coverage. As Ragdale Hall is a residential spa destination in a rural location, it was facing some challenges in providing this facility.
Ragdale Hall were keen to respond to changing habits of its guests, and appreciated that many wanted WiFi throughout their stay as part of their time for relaxation, allowing guests to capture, post and share their spa experience.
Our solution
Performance Networks carried out an extensive survey in order to determine the exact requirements and coverage required by Ragdale Hall. Management were immediately impressed with the professional and knowledgeable approach and the understanding of the business, and all correspondence was accurate and arrived when promised.
The result
Ragdale Hall was so impressed with Performance Networks that it also engaged them to replace the entire network infrastructure. With no fibre available locally, Performance Networks were able to get Ragdale Hall a wireless leased line which has taken its bandwidth from 4Mbps to 50Mbps.
WiFi is now only an issue if it’s not available – and these occasions have been very few and far between. Access Points are remotely monitored so that Performance Networks can inform management if there is a problem even before they’re aware. Guests have a support line to call in case of difficulty. Performance Networks has helped Ragdale Hall to update its infrastructure to meet the requirements of the business, which is more and more reliant on technology. Guests and suppliers want instant communication, they need banks to provide immediate authorisations. All of this depends upon a stable platform, with excellent response when issues arise. As with WiFi, Ragdale Hall’s staff are only concerned when the technology gets in the way of providing outstanding customer service. Performance Networks have provided that stability and have been pro-active in ensuring that Ragdale Hall maintains and improves its systems.
