We are looking for a graduate who is eager to extend their knowledge, who can work on their own initiative, who has excellent communication skills and who would thrive working in a small but valued growing team.
You will provide technical support to our current customers looking after their internet connections, WiFi installations and telecoms services. You will also be required to assist with both provisioning and ongoing support of these services.
You will apply and acquire knowledge in all areas of IP Networking and Wireless, maintenance, troubleshooting and along with the use of our industry leading monitoring and customer portal software.
You will, once appropriate training has been undertaken, be responsible for liaising directly with clients and customers in a non-jargonised way. Potentially, after a reasonable period, this role will evolve to include attending onsite installations and repairs alongside a senior technician.
The ideal candidate will have a degree, ideally in an IT related subjective. The successful candidate will have the ability to understand technology and networking and have passion for technology and innovation as a whole.
They must be able to prioritise their work and have good interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will also have a mature attitude with an ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality whilst valuing customer’s data.
The candidate will have the confidence and ability to work alone when required and, after reaching a level of understanding and skill, will be able to work alone dealing with customers and colleagues to a high level of competence.
Ideally, we require the candidate to hold a full UK driving licence, as travelling may be required later as mentioned. As the role may be customer facing at times the candidate must be of smart appearance, reliable, trustworthy and polite.
The office is based in NG7 and this position is based on a standard 37.5 hour week Monday – Friday. However, should the need be apparent in the future, overtime may be occasionally required.
In the future if the role was to progress to travelling and visiting customer sites, a standard DBS check may be required.
