What happens during a wireless site survey?

The engineer will first physically map out the building structure, pinpointing any areas of concern. These could include the thickness of walls, separated buildings, lack of existing data cabling etc.. We then check how WiFi travels through these areas, so enabling us to understand the number of wireless access points required to bring full coverage to the site.

Next we ascertain whether or not there is any local radio interference. This could come from Microwaves, phone systems, blue tooth devices, or just conflicting wireless channels.

We then document what internet connection is currently in place, and whether  it is sufficient for the venues requirements.

Lastly the findings are collated, documented and fed back to the customer. Simple!
